To all to Whom these Presents shall come, More especially to Our Warden, Master and Worker, and Comptroler of Our Mint now and for the time being Whereas the service of the Mint hath for many years past required a Skilfull Artist in Engraving to be Employed as assistant to the Chief Engraver there, And accordingly John Rollos was last appointed to the said Office by Warrant under the Sign Manual of the King Our late Royal Father of Glorious Memory bearing date the 29th. day of September 1726 Now We being given to understand that the said John Rollos cannot by reason of other his Employment, give the Attendance help and Assistance necessary, more especially at this time when Our Service calls not only for the immediate making Puncheons and Dyes for Medals for ye Coronation of Us and Our Royal Consort the Queen, but also for the Several Coynes which are to be made from new Puncheons & Dyes on Our Accession to the Throne, We are Graciously pleased upon the Recomendations which We have received from the Officers of Our Mint or Some of them in this behalfe to approve of John Ralp Ochs who as We are informed has already been Employed in making Puncheons for the Mint, to be Assistant to Our ^ said Chief Engraver Our Will and Pleasure therefore is, and We do hereby Direct Authorize and Require You and every of you to whome it appertains to Admit the Said John Ralph Ochs into the Exercise and Execution of the said Office of Assistant to the Cheif Graver of Our Mint in all things as becometh, and to permit the said John Ralp Ochs to have hold and enjoy all houses or apartments, Profits Immunities, Libertyes Priviledges and advantages to the Said Office belonging, and quietly and peaceably to enjoy the Same & every of them during our Royall Will and Pleasure and Moreover We are Graciously pleased to Grant and Allow unto the s.d John Ralp Ochs for the exercise and Execution of the said Office the Yearly Fee or Salary of Eighty Pounds per Annu to be paid © Thomas Cocano Informations Instructions Transcription Help me !
